ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard will honor Master Gunnery Sergeant Thomas W. Bishop, of Elkton, MD by standing a silent flag-line in his honor during his visitation and again during his interment in Delaware. MGySgt Bishop passed away on January 2nd, 2021. He was proud of his career in the USMC. He did three combat tours in Vietnam, earning four Purple Hearts. He was also the Chief of Security for the Marine One Helicopter Squadron in Washington, DC. He retired after 31 years of service. He later became a Parking Enforcement Officer with the Elkton Police Department and retired after 12 years. A Life member of the VFW, the American Legion, the DAV, the Marine Corps League, the Military Order of the Devil Dogs and the Military Order of the Purple Heart, he remained active in Veterans causes. He is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Escort: 1:30 PM, escort family 8 mi. to Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE 19701. Upon arrival establish a second flag-line graveside.
Be mindful of the weather, dress appropriately and wear face covering. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will maintain 6’ distance requirements.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
