DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nThomas Robert Saulsbury\, Veteran\nUSA – Vietnam\nKnoxville\, Tennessee – 07-29-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nBerry Funeral Home\, sponsor of the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program\, and the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery will hold services for Specialist 5 Thomas Robert Saulsbury. Sp5 Saulsbury entered the US Army on February 12\, 1970 and attended service schooling at Fort Jackson\, South Carolina. He served in Vietnam from July 6. 1970- June 3 1971\, and was honorably discharged in January of 1972. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal\, Vietnam Service Medal\, Vietnam Medal w/60 Device\, 2 O/S Bars\, Expert Badge Rifle M16. Expert Badge Rifle M14. Thomas was a 20 yr resident of Newport and passed away July 5\, 2019 with no family to claim him. He was born in Batavia\, New York and entered the service in Jacksonville\, Florida.
