In addition to keeping his country safe and preserving its freedoms, Veteran Palozola earned the rank of CPL E-4, and was awarded the Rifle Marksman Badge, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Certificate of Commendation (3 awards), Combat Action Ribbon (Afghanistan), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Marine Corps. Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Mast, National Defense Service Medal, Nato Medal-ISAF (Afghanistan), and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3 awards).
