Thomas H. Lentz , Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Another member of the greatest generation has been lost. The family of WWII U.S. Navy Veteran Thomas Henry Lentz has requested the Patriot Guard Riders join them in providing honor and respect as he is laid to rest. We have informed them that it will be a privilege to do so. Thomas Lentz served on the USS SPERRY (AS 12) at the end of WWII. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 right out of high school and was honorably discharged as an Electronics Technician Third Class. After military service he went back to school obtaining a Masters Degree in Business and in Chemical Engineering. He owned his own business and worked until finally retiring at the age of 88.

A service will be in progress at the staging time. Please arrive quietly. After a briefing we will get lined up for an escort from the church to the cemetery in Cumming. There will be no flag line at the church.

Flags will not be provided
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

If going direct to the cemetery, stage and await the arrival of the escort. We will stand a social distancing flag line during the graveside service . The PGR may be called upon to render military honors.
