Thomas G. Seversen, Veteran
New London, Wisconsin – 08-03-18


Now flying forever on the wings of an eagle, Thomas “Tom” Seversen, age 93, died on June 6, 2018. Tom was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Edward and Clara Seversen and had a wonderful childhood following his older brother on adventures in the Oak Park neighborhood. Tom graduated from Austin High School in Chicago and enlisted in the Aviation Cadet Program in 1943, proudly serving in WWII as a B-24 and B-29 pilot in the Pacific Theater. His squadron was the first to fly over Nagasaki after the bomb was dropped.

  1. I extend my most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Thomas G. Seversen, USAAC WWII Veteran. During this most difficult time, I pray you peace. I will forever be grateful for his service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country. Rest easy now, Sir…those you have left behind to carry on without you have the watch.
