ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of LCDR Thomas A. Johnson, United States Navy, to stand in his honor and escort him to Barrancas National Cemetery. LCDR Johnson served in the U.S. Navy from July 1957 thru Sept 1977. LCDR Johnson received the Bronze Star with Combat “V”, Navy Commendation Medal with Combat “V”, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Staff Service Medal, First Class, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Presidential Unit Citation and many other individual and unit awards.

Naval Air Station Pensacola requires long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather foot wear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection. This attire will always be maintained while riding aboard NAS Pensacola.
