Print This PageThe Patroit Guard has been requested to escort the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (The Moving Wall) on Wednesday 7 September 2011 and to do a ride by on Saturday 10 September 2011.
The escort will be from exit 178, off Interstate Route 80, to Water Street in the City of Lockhaven. Exit 178 is the intersection of US route 220 and Interstate Route 80. The staging area will be at the two abandoned gas stations at the foot of the exit ramp at 1745 hrs. We will leave the staging area at 1830hrs for an escort through Lock Haven to Water Street.
The ride to the wall will stage at two locations. First will be at the Frito-Lay plant, on Reach Road, in the industrial park of Williamsport begining at 1000 hrs. It will leave that staging area at 1100 to join up with the others at the second location in Lock Haven. The second staging area is the Castanea Fire Company Picnic Grounds, located at the east end of the Lock Haven Airport begining at 1000 hrs. The grounds can be reached off of Island Road. This ride will leave the second staging area at 1300 to ride by the wall, with participants stopping to present wreaths at the various tributes.
