ABOUT THE MISSION:

We have been requested to stand in Honor of another WWII Veteran. Raymond I. Wolniewicz of Cheektowaga passed away on October 26th. Mr. Wolniewicz served in the US Army Air Force from 1944-1946, including 12 months in the Central Pacific Theater with the 466th Aerial Engineers, 71st Air Service Group. He was Honorably Discharged on 12 August 1946 with rank of Corporal, and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal. Mr. Wolniewicz was also a Life Member of the Private Leonard Post 6251, one of the two locations from where the BN Honor Flights originate.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
Followed by Escort to St. Matthew’s Cemetery for Burial with Military Honors.
Please arrive on time with a clean 3×5 American Flag or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large bike flags are properly placed and securely attached.
Please do whatever you’re able to help Honor the WWII USAAF Service of Mr. Wolniewicz and to support his loving and proud family.
