ABOUT THE MISSION:
SFC Reed Deschenes passed on June 23, 2017. He was born on August 25, 1955 in Beverly, Massachusetts where he and his family resided until his age of 13. At which time his family moved to Dania, FL. where he lived until he joined the United States Army at age 17 in 1972. He served our country for over 20 years as a Sargent First Class, Special forces, “Night Stalkers” on the Chinooks. SFC Deschenes earned many awards to include a Bronze Star, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3rd award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd award), Joint Meritorious unit award, Southeast Asia Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars (BSS), and many others.
