Memorial Day Remembrance

ABOUT THE MISSION:

American Legion Post 5 (U.S.S. Tampa) and the American Legion Cemetery Commission has honored the Patriot Guard Riders with a request to stand a flag line at their annual Memorial Day Remembrance. This is a time-honored tradition for Tampa as the Post has honored the fallen on Memorial Day at this location for over 90 years.

Bill Hamblin, Post Commander (U.S.A.F. veteran/retired LEO) will MC. Presentation of Colors by local JROTC. Music and Keynote speakers are being confirmed as of this submission. Refreshments will be served in the Legion Hall immediately after the ceremony.

Please bring your 3’x5’ American flags in order to stand a silent Flag Line in honor of all our American heroes.

Bikes: Please enter the cemetery via Roland St; watch for signs and RC. Only BIKES are able to park in the cemetery. Other street/grass parking is available along Roland Street and at Kinko’s next door. Cars should arrive early as parking is limited. Staging will be at the Roland St. entrance to the cemetery. Briefing: 10:30 am.

Bikes: Please enter the cemetery after 9:45am via Roland St; watch for signs and RC. ONLY BIKES are able to park in the cemetery. Other street/grass parking is available along Roland Street and at lot across Roland St. Cars should arrive early as parking is limited. Staging and briefing will be at the Roland St. entrance to the cemetery.


Flags & Water:
Flags Will NOT Be Provided, Please Bring Your Own.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
