ABOUT THE MISSION:

We are sad to report the death of U S Army/Korean War Veteran Theron E. Poole, 82, Smithville, MS. The family has requested the PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS to assist in honoring him on Wednesday the 28th of June. Visitation will be Tuesday the 27th from 5pm to 8pm at Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS. The services will be Wednesday the 28th at Smithville Baptist Church, 63388 Hwy 25 in Smithville, MS. There will be a short visitation starting at 12noon til 12:50pm with the service starting at 1pm. Gaveside services will be at Young Memorial Gardens on Kennedy Rd in Smithville.

SSG Poole was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Presidential Unit Citation.

Primary Staging Time: 11:30 A.M.
Stagging for Wednesday the 28th: 11:30am at Smithville Baptist Church, 63388 Hwy 25 in Smithville, MS. for a short visitation beginning at 12noon with the service starting at 1pm. An escort to Young Memorial Gardens in Smithville will follow. (about 3 miles) The Tuesday visitation at Pickle Funeral Home will be flags only.
