ABOUT THE MISSION:

Patriots: We have been invited by High School Social Studies teacher and PGR member Ruth Squillache to stand at a ceremony honoring local Veterans in our community. On Friday October 27th Mrs. Squillache will host a Veterans Day Assembly for all US History students (the entire 11th grade, which is approximately 190 students) at the Shoreham-Wading River HS located at 250 Route 25A Shoreham, NY. The assembly will take place from 8:46-10:09 in the high school auditorium. This year’s honored veteran will be SCPD Police Officer Matias Ferreira, who is a recent graduate of the SCPD Police Academy. His story was recently featured on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. Special Instructions:

KSU 8:00 am sharp, proceed to:
Shoreham Wading River High School
250 Rt 25A
Wading River, NY

Parking has been set up for us so we will ride to the assembly as a group to make things easier. We will be departing from the sight of the the Shoreham 9/11 memorial located at the intersection of Tesla St. and Rt. 25A in Shoreham. If you haven’t seen this memorial site I’d plan to arrive a little earlier to check it out because it is beautiful. We can park on Tesla Rd which is very quiet that time of the day or I will ask for permission to park at the Shoreham Fire House located right next door to the memorial. We will depart for the High School at 8:00 am.

Please if you know for sure you are attending please just respond to me John Fenech at jfenech27@gmail.com so we can give the high school an approximate number on how many of us are attending so they can have everything set up for us. Thank you.
