ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard has been requested by the family of Gary Joe Bergman to provide an escort for Gary to his final resting place. Gary served proudly in the US Marine Corps from 1966-1972. He served a thirteen month tour of duty in Vietnam. He served with the 1st Battalion 4 deuce mortar battery company. He earned a number of awards and decorations including the National Defense Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He attained the rank of Corporal E-4. Gary was a life member of VFW Post 3912 in Litchfield, Amvets Post 16, American Legion in Litchfield, and the Marine Corps League. this is an ESCORT only mission. Military honors will be accorded at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
