Daniel O. Gordillo, Active Duty
USN
MULTI-CITY, California – 27 Jul 2017
ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family and the US Navy has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor SN Daniel O. Gordillo, 20, as he arrives home and at his funeral services. We will be honored to do so.
SN Daniel O. Gordillo, 20 years of age, enlisted in the US Navy earlier this year and was in A School for training at Pensacola, FL when tragically he was killed in a motorcycle accident.
Daniel dreamed about being in the Navy his whole life, and would wear sailor hats as a kid. He realized his dream of becoming a sailor, and is gone too soon. Daniel comes from a military family, his grandparents served in the Navy, among others. He was wearing a Navy hoodie when he died. He wanted to make his family proud and he did.
He is described as a sweet, loving, caring young man, and will be greatly missed.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 11 days, Penelope, his parents, and siblings, and other family members.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the airport to the mortuary. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there. (Mortuary info will be updated when we have it)
