For current details on this mission\, please follow the link below. \nWWII Honor Flight Welcome Home \n\nPhoenix\, Arizona – 25 May 2017\n \n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION:\nOnce again we have been invited and it will be an honor to stand a flag line for our Honor Flight Veterans and their families as return from their trip to D.C. This is OUR opportunity to thank a member of this Greatest Generation for their contribution to the safety of this great country we live in. \nHonor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington\, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors\, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill. \nOf all of the wars in recent memory\, it was World War II that truly threatened our very existence as a nation—and as a culturally diverse\, free society. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs\, an estimated 640 WWII veterans die each day.
