ABOUT THE MISSION:
Clifford (Tine) graduated from North Duplin High School. Known for his athletic ability and jump shot, he lettered in both basketball and football. Also known as a star basketball player for North Duplin and the US Army basketball team. He was the class president for several years at North Duplin. After high school, he took several college courses on an athletic scholarship before deciding to join the Army in 1978. He served his country an astounding 33 years in a variety of roles and received numerous medals of honor during his career. He retired fully in 2013. More than anything else, Clifford was known for being a family man. He always put his family first and was often the glue that held it together.

- When arriving at the Church please follow directions so as to line up with Bikes with Flags to the front of the line. If you do not intend to Escort, stay to the rear of the line please. We will gather in Honor of Clifford Ray Thompson, Standing a Flag Line at the Hills Chapel Missionary Baptist Church while Family and Friends arrive. We have been invited to join the Service. Following the Service we have been asked to Escort the Fallen Hero, Family and Funeral Procession to Wayne Memorial Park, south side of Goldsboro, approximately :35 drive on HWY 117.

SPECIAL NOTE: Safety is of our utmost priority. Every effort possible is made in planning and executing the PGR Mission statement in a manner that minimizes the inherit dangers of riding a motorcycle, including riding in groups of all sizes and any situation. While the NCPG and its riders have a remarkable safety record in the execution of our missions, infrequently members have been injured in unforeseen accidents. In an effort to mitigate the risk of preventable accidents, all attendees who wish to ride in a Patriot Guard motorcycle escort or ride are asked to attend the pre-mission briefing. It will include a safety briefing, and any unique ride information known to our RCIC that may be specific to the mission. Member safety and well-being is always a principal ongoing concern, our RCIC’s are asked to stand-down from any mission that cannot be accomplished in relative safety or unreasonable risk. This includes both rides and flag lines in inclement weather and conditions. It remains each individual PGR member’s responsibility to ride within their own comfort zone and be cognizant of their surroundings and skill limitations as well as any physical needs or limitations. If the ride and/or mission conditions present challenges beyond your skill, comfort, or needs you are expected to exercise good judgment in foregoing any planned participation.
