Edward J. Bergey, Veteran
USA – Vietnam
Farwell, Michigan – 25 Mar 2017
ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Mr. Edward J. Bergey to stand a silent Flag Line in honor of his service to our country. Mr. Bergey served honorably in the United States Army from 1961 through 1964. Ed was born in Clare, MI., but resided for many years in Neillsville, Wis. where he was a proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders. Mr. Bergey was a Senior Ride Captain for over 8 years. He coordinated many of the HOTH activities for the PGR, spearheaded his own “meals on wheels” for local veterans, led many meet and greet events whose entry requirements was a bag of food that he passed on to area veterans organizations, and kept his Grandmother’s sewing machines running to make hundred’s of quilts for the VA homes. (She was 94 years old). Mr. Bergey is survived by his special friend, Joyce Bliss, six children, and many extended family. Please join us to stand in honor of Mr. Bergey’s service to our country, the PGR, and for his family in this time of grief.
