PFC Johnnie D. Harrell

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Patriots, We have been requested by the family of one of our Greatest Generation to Stand in Honor and Show our Respect.
PFC Johnnie D. Harrell, Company 28, 411th Combat Infantry, 98, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017.

The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Harrell, a native of the Oak City area of Martin County, served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theater. He farmed in Pitt County for several years following the war. Johnnie worked as a prison guard for 5 years and later worked as a manager of Service Distributing Co. station for 21 years until retiring in 1981.

Johnnie was preceded in death by two sons, and is survived by his wife of 46 years, 2 daughters, 2 sons, 11 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
