Matzke has invited  the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of his Service to our Country. Danny is predeceased by his father and a brother\, survived by his mother\, 3 daughters\, 2 brothers\, and extended family. Danny was born in Saginaw\, MI on 04 Oct. 1948\, and passed away on 17 March 2017. He served in the United States Army from  26 Sept.1967 to 28 May 1970\, in the 1st Air Cavalry Division\, 8th Engineer Battalion\, Bravo Company\, during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal\, Army Commendation Medal\, Vietnam Service Medal  w/ 3 Bronze Service Stars\, Vietnam Campaign Medal\, Air Medal. His MOS was 12B20 Combat Engineer.
