ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Captain Richard Link has requested the presence of the Arizona Patriot Guard Riders to stand a flag line for military honors. It will be our honor to participate.

Richard Link served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1977. He served with the 495th Tactical Fighter Squadron as a Weapons System Officer in Vietnam. He was released from active duty in 1975 and was honorably discharged in 1977.

While in the service of his country Captain Link earned the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Service Longevity Award and the Air Force Medal.

Flag line immediately following briefing at designated shelter. Honor bikes will escort the family car from the visitor’s center to the shelter and we will stand the flag line until completion of Military Honors. Flag line only.
