During his career\, he went to Air Police School in Memphis\, Tennessee\, where sometimes on town patrol he had coffee with Elvis Presley who\, at that time\, was driving a truck for a living. He was stationed in: Germany; Scott AFB in Belleville\, Illinois; Morroco; Schilling AFB in Salina\, Kansas; Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City\, S.D. where he worked at missile sites; spent a year at Udorn AFB in Thailand training Thai guards; Shaw AFB in Sumter\, S.C.; and attended the NCO Academy in Virginia.
