ABOUT THE MISSION:

Sgt Joshua D. Lindauer, 33, USMC (Ret) GWOT/OEF/OIF
Sgt Joshua David “Sarge” Lindauer, 33, USMC (Ret) of Hubert, NC, died suddenly on 7 March 17 in Jacksonville, NC. A 2001 graduate of Chopticon High School, Josh enlisted in the Army in 2003 and later transferred to the USMC in 2005, where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. He proudly served two tours in Iraq (OIF) and one tour in Afghanistan (OEF), where he sustained injuries. He is the recipient of many awards and commendations including the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (W Combat “V”), Combat Action Ribbon (Afghanistan), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (W/1 Star), Iraq Campaign Medal (W/1 Star), Navy Unit Commendation (2), Presidential Unit Citation-Navy, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (Iraq), NATO Medal ISAF (Afghanistan) and the Expert Rifle Qualification Badge. He enjoyed fast cars, computers, smart phones and guns. He leaves and large and loving family and will be missed by all.

Sgt Joshua D. Lindauer, is to be interred on the grounds of Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery on 21 March 2017 at approximately 1345 hours. PGR has been invited to attend the services by his family and we will be there to escort him to his final resting place and then to stand tall silent and proud in honor of this Marine, his family, friends and comrades at arms.
