Mr. Johnson was the Gold Star grandfather of Sgt. Joe Johnson\, United States Army\, who was KIA in Afghanistan on 16 JUN 2010. Mr. Eugene Johnson served in the Michigan National Guard for nine (9) years as a Cook. Mr. Johnson retired from GMSPO (General Motors Service Parts Organization) in 1991. He was an avid outdoorsman and golfer\, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
