ABOUT THE MISSION:
The State of Mississippi has lost another Vietnam Veteran, James David “Yellow Bird” Summers has passed away, his family has requested the PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS help honor and pay respect to him for his service to our country.
Mr. Summers honorably and proudly served in the US Army with service in Germany and Vietnam. His many awards and citations include the NATIONAL DEFENSE SERVICE MEDAL, 4 OVERSEAS SERVICE BARS, SHARPSHOOTER BADGE, M-14, the VIETNAM SERVICE MEDAL and the VIETNAM CAMPAIGN MEDAL.
US Flags will be mounted in honor of Mr. Summers at SENTER FUNERAL HOME; 707 S Adams St.; Fulton, MS 38843 for visitation on Wednesday 15 March 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

- Thursday 16 March 2017 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, the PGR will provide a silent US Flag line until the beginning of the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
ESCORT: Immediately following the funeral service the PGR will escort Mr. Summers to WHITE CHURCH CEMETERY and provide a silent US Flag line for the graveside service.
NOTE: The escort distance is approximately 3 miles, large motorcycle mounted US Flags are encouraged.
