PRILLAMAN\, US NAVY\, to stand in honor of his service to our Country. \nABOUT THE MISSION: \nPO3 PRILLAMAN is survived by his daughter and son\, \nThose wishing to honor PO3 Prillaman\, please note the following: \nThere will not be any service or flag line at the Funeral home.  We will escort the family and the Hearse from the funeral home to Albert G Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk\, VA and set a flag line there. \nThere will not be a Police Escort. \nDate:  Thursday\, 16 February 2017 \nStage Location: Peninsula Funeral Home\, 11144 Warwick Blvd.\, Newport News\, VA \nStage Time:  1315 \nBrief:  1330 \nFuneral Service: 1500 – 1550 \nAlbert G. Horton ceremony: 1500 \nSPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: \nWe will escort PO 3 Prillaman to his final resting place\, Albert G. Horton Jr Memorial Veterans Cemetery.  We will form a flag line to receive the family at AGH. \nAnticipate this mission to last 4 hours from start to finish. \nFlags may not be available so please bring your 3 x 5 flags. \nEscort Protocol: \nBikes with Large flags\, Bikes with small flags\, Bikes with no flags.  Please ensure all flags are rigged for highway speeds.  Rigs will be checked prior to the escort.  Checking flags does not constitute approval of your mount.  Each rider is responsible for their flag mount. \nWeather: \nPlease monitor the weather and dress appropriately \nSpecial Note: \nYou do not have to own/ride a motorcycle or be a Veteran to join and membership is Free. The only requirement is RESPECT! To join\, simply go to Patriot Guard website and click on Register. Membership is Free. \nSafety is our utmost priority.  Every effort possible is made in planning and executing the PGR Mission Statement in a manner that minimizes the inherit dangers of riding a motorcycle\, including riding in groups of all sizes and any situation.  While the PGR and its riders have a remarkable riding record in the execution of our missions\, infrequently members have been injured in unforeseen accidents.  In an effort to mitigate the risk of preventable accidents\, all attendees who wish to ride in a Patriot Guard motorcycle escort or Honor Mission are asked to attend the pre-mission briefing.  It will include a safety briefing and any unique ride information known to our Ride Captain(s) that may be specific to the mission.  Member safety and well-being is always a principal ongoing concern.  Our Ride Captains are asked to stand down from any mission that cannot be accomplished in relative safety or unreasonable risk.  This includes both rides and flag lines in inclement weather and other conditions.  It remains each individual PGR member’s responsibility to ride within their own comfort zone and be cognizant of their surroundings and skill limitations.
