E-5 Newson served the United States from August 18\, 1969 until December 17\, 1973.  This was followed by USAR until May 19\, 1975.  His last duty assignment was with HHC 52nd Engr Bn  HQ FORSCOM.  Robert reenlisted prior to the end of his first tour while in Qui Nhon\, Vietnam.  He earned the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 device and Two Overseas Bars.  The Vietnam Service Medal w/2  Bronze Service Stars and Sharpshooter Badge w/M14 Rifle.  He served as a Grader Operator.  Rest well soldier.
