In 2006\, Jeff Miller and Earl Morse started Honor Flight\, and after a decade\, Honor Flight Network has hubs in 42 states\, including North Carolina.  Queen City Honor Flight has become one of those hubs\, and is committed to transporting our deserving veterans from Charlotte and surrounding areas to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. \nThe PGR has been asked to be present at the airport\, similar to the Snowball Express\, to send these heroes off in the morning\, and welcome them home the same evening.  Our presence has been STRONGLY requested in the evening to give these heroes a welcome home that many never got when they returned from war.  This flight is to have 80 veterans aboard\, 15 of which fought in World War II. \nIf you are interested in participating\, you MUST submit your information no later than October 5th to Queen City Honor Flight.  Go to their website at http://www.qchonorflight.org/\, then select the “Apply Now” link at the top of the page.  From the next page\, select the “volunteer link”\, then check the box for the “ROTC Only” category near the bottom of the page and select “Submit & Sign Up” that appears at the bottom of the page.
