David L. Mourdock, Veteran
USN – WWII
MULTI-CITY, Georgia – 07 Nov 2017

ABOUT THE MISSION:

America has lost another HERO from the Greatest Generation. David Lee Mourdock was born in Waterville, Ohio November 19, 1924. Inducted into the U.S. Navy January 29, 1943, he served in the Amphibious Navy on several Tank Landing Ships (LST’s), until his honorable discharge in January, 1946 after attaining the rank of Boatswain’s Mate First Class (E-6). He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Campaign Medal (5 stars), American Theatre Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, and Victory Medal.

The family of David Mourdock has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to stand for their loved one and to escort him from the Woodstock Funeral Home to his final place of rest at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia. His wife of sixty-nine years, a high school sweetheart and also a WWII Navy Veteran, was laid to rest at GNC a few years ago. They will now be together once again and share all eternity. I felt honored to accept their request and informed them we are honored to do so.
