Robert Earl Blanks\nUS Army – Vietnam\nASVMC at Spanish Fort\, AL \nFellow Riders\,\nIt is with heavy heart that I must inform you that America has lost another True American Hero. The family of SFC Robert Earl Blanks\, who passed away at the age of 65\, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of their loved one. Mr. Blanks served in the US Army for 26 years.  His awards\, decorations\, medals and badges are numerous. Some include Meritorious Service Medal\, Army Commendation Medal\, Army Achievement Medal\, Good Conduct Medal (6th Award)\, NDSM (1 bronze star)\, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal\, VSM (2 bronze stars)\, Army Service Ribbon\, Oversea service ribbon (3rd award)\, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation w/ Palm\, VCM\, Sharpshooter (M16)\, Parachutist Badge\, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge\,  and many others.
