ABOUT THE MISSION:

Master Sergeant, United States Army, Retired.
Member, Patriot Guard Riders.

The family of Master Sergeant Charles Michael “Mike” Taylor has invited the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders to help honor him by standing a Flag Line at his visitation on Monday evening. On Tuesday morning, we will join him in procession for his last ride to DFW National Cemetery where we will again stand a Flag Line at his interment service. Following the service, we will return with Mike’s family in procession to Garland where we will stand one last Flag Line at the funeral service for this American Patriot and comrade, Mike.

Special Instructions:

Following a Mission Briefing, we will stand a Flag Line during the Visitation. The Visitation will run from 1800 to 2000, so Riders will be rotated on the line. At an appropriate time, the Ride Captain will retire the Flag Line, the flags will be returned to the support vehicle, furled and stowed. After a quick debriefing, the Riders will be dismissed.

After the briefings, Riders will prepare for departure. Honor bikes will lead us as we honor our hero during the procession to the National Cemetery. Honor bikes and family will move into lane, remaining riders will move to the shelter and prepare for the arrival of our hero and his family.

Following the committal service riders participating in the procession to Garland will prepare for departure

After the mission brief, Riders will move to the designated shelter, establish the Flag Line and await the arrival of our hero, family and friends. After the service and at the direction of a Ride Captain, flags will be returned to the storage area, furled and stowed. After a debriefing, Riders will be dismissed.

Those wishing to participate in the procession back to Garland will stage and be briefed after the service. The return procession will be escorted and cages are allowed.
