ABOUT THE MISSION:
Hero Phillips served in the US Army from 1955 – 1958 and completed his obligation with the Army Reserve till 1963. He obtained the rank of SP 3 (T) in Field Artillery. He transferred to the Army Reserve and was given an Honorable discharge.
Awards listed were a Good Conduct Medal and M1 Carbine Marksman. He was listed as a Artillery Operations Specialist as a TOPO map Draftsman.
