Cliff was wounded by an explosion on March 03\, 1969 while coming to the aid and assisting his fellow soldiers during an ambush. \nOn 02/14/1970\, Cliff succumbed to his wounds. Cliff’s name appears on the National Vietnam Memorial Wall Panel/Line 13W\,10.
