ABOUT THE MISSION:
Cliff served in the U.S. Army, Company D, 3rd BN, 39th REG of the 9th Infantry Division (Old Reliables) in Vietnam. Cliff was wounded by an explosion on March 03, 1969 while coming to the aid and assisting his fellow soldiers during an ambush.
On 02/14/1970, Cliff succumbed to his wounds. Cliff’s name appears on the National Vietnam Memorial Wall Panel/Line 13W,10. Cliff is interred in the Carrabelle Cemetery.Recently, the Florida Legislature designated a portion of Highway 98 in Cliff’s name.
