ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Pfc. Bellgardt has asked that the Patriot Guard be involved with his funeral and burial on Friday the 2nd of June. He served in the US Army in Vietnam with the 82nd Airborne. Among the awards that he received were the National Defense Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star w/device Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal and the Bronze Star. He is credited with saving many lives there. He was a member of the local VFW and served as quartermaster of the unit. Let us show up and acknowledge what he did for this great country. After the service, we will escort him and family and friends to the cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
