ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Alexander Samaras have asked the Patriot Guard to join them at Mr. Samaras visitation, funeral and graveside services to pay tribute to his life and service to his country.
Mr. Samaras served during WWII and was involved with the invasion on Normandy at Utah Beach as Commanding Officer of LCT 709, on June 6, 1944, the Executive Officer of LCS 81 during the invasion of Okinawa on April 1, 1945, and the occupation of Japan upon the end of WWII. Pease join us as we Render Mr. Samaras a final Salute.

Following the funeral service we will escort Mr. Samaras to Danville National Cemetery for graveside services, with Military Rites by Danville American Legion Post 210.

The family has requested no Motorcycles.
