Kentucky has lost another hero.
We have been invited by he family of Sergeant Starling Edward Powers, age 80 of Williamsburg, KY to stand in his honor.
He was retired from the United States Army 101st Airborne Division having served our country for over 33 years.
He served in the USMC in Korea and two tours of duty in Vietnam with the 1st Cavalry Division,
He was a lifelong patriot and loved his country to the extent that he was willing to risk his life in battle. It is now our honor to stand for this fallen hero. The arrangements are as follows:

with burial at the Smith Cemerty in Nevisdale, KY.
Stage at 11:45 a.m. at Croley Funeral Home and stake flags
12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. – Stand Flag Line and briefing
1:00 p.m.- Render Final Salute
At the conclusion of the service we will escort SGT Powers to his final resting place at the Smith Cemetary in Nevisdale. Military Honors will be conducted by the Whitley County High School JROTC.
