DESCRIPTION:Thursday June 30\, 2016\nMinneapolis\, MN\n\n\nThe family of  SSGT Joshua J Sanchez has invited the Patriot Guard to stand a flag line in honor of his life and service to our country. \nActive Duty SSGT Johusa J Sanchez enlisted in the Marine Corps in May 2004. Following completion of Recruit Training and\nMOS training at Logistics Operations School\, he was assigned to 1st Battalion\, 6th Marines as the MIMMs Chief. \nSSgt Sanchez deployed in 2005 and 2006 with 1st Battalion\, 6th Marines to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  In May 2008\, SSgt Sanchez was assigned to MWCS-48\, MACG-48 until November of 2012 when he attended Marine Combat Instructors Course.  SSgt Sanchez served as a Marine Combat Instructor from January 2012 until September of 2015 at Marine Combat Training Battalion – East. During this time he was a Combat Instructor\, Squad Instructor\, Platoon Sergeant and Platoon Commander. \nIn September 2015\, SSgt Sanchez was assigned to 2d Combat Engineer Battalion as the Maintenance Management Chief.  SSgt Sanchez’s major decorations include the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Gold Star in lieu of third award)\, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (Bronze star in lieu of third award) and the Iraq Campaign Medal. \nHe will be taken to a Calumet\, Michigan Funeral Home for Funeral services and visitation with full military Honors. \nDignified Transfer Staging: \nFire Station #1\n6920 34th Ave South\nMinneapolis\, 55450 \n5:00 pm Staging\n5:30 pm briefing\n5:45 pm Set Flag Line\n6:45 pm approximate Dismissal \nDismissal at RCIC discretion. \nPlease take time to come honor this Veteran who proudly served his country. \nThis is a rain or shine mission.
