Joshua J. Sanchez enlisted in the Marine Corps in May 2004. Following completion of Recruit Training and MOS training at Logistics Operations School, he was assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marines. SSgt Sanchez has had multiple deployments and assignments, the latest being that Sgt Sanchez was assigned to 2d Combat Engineer Battalion.
SSgt Sanchez is being returned to Calumet, MI through Minneapolis, MN via Wisconsin.
He will be taken to a Calumet, Michigan Funeral Home for Funeral services and visitation with full military Honors.
Minnesota Patriot Guard will attend the Dignified Transfer and begin the escort to Wisconsin. This is an estimated 7 hour trip one way, ETA 02:30 Saturday morning in Calumet, MI.
Distinguished Transfer

We will not attend the Distinguished Transfer in Minnesota.
Those wishing to participate should stage at Exit 4 on I-94.
Exit I-94 at exit 4, head south to Outpost Circle; turn right and another immediate right. Building is 596 Outpost Cir Hudson, WI. I am attempting to get MN PG or the funeral director to contact us when they approach the river.
You may escort as far as you feel comfortable and stand down to return.
No RC assigned due to short notice. Any member who can attend, contact the State Captain to coordinate with MN.
