Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been requested to stand for Richard A. Davis, age 72.
Richard was raised in Klamath Falls, OR. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 17. He served as a Special Forces Medic, worked as an NCOIC of a Jag Office in Germany, and finally as a registered nurse. He often spoke of jumping out of airplanes as a paratrooper and fast roping from helicopters.
During his 20 years of service Richard was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Commendation Medal w/Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Master Parachute Badge, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device, Expert Badge w/Rifle Bar (M16), Expert Badge w/Hand Grenade, Purple Heart, and Combat Medical Badge. Richard retired at the rank of SSG (E6). Please join us as we help support his family, pay our respects, and honor his service to our nation.
