Again, PGR has been asked to assist with the Snow Ball Express. American Airlines with several other airlines, and various California coporations are sponsoring over 2000 orphans and Gold Star widows of military personnel an expense free vaction in California.

We will stage at K-Mart, Donelson Pike north of I-40, 16 DEC 08, at 0845, KSU at 0915, Ride to the airport together. I am checking to see what parking arrangements we will have and other particulars concerning the event.

Last year we had riders assisting by:
a} helping the families from their POV in the garage to the ticket counter,
b} assisting the families through the ticket procedure and to the security gates,
c} assisting the families from the security gates to the Admiral’s Club where they
gathered waiting for departure.

We {all of us} passed thru the security gates with flags and formed a Flag Line from the Admiral’s Club to the departure gate, and then went to the tarmac for a Flag Line as the plane departed.

If the weather is bad, drive the cage. We received parking passes last year so no cost there. The only bike ride will be from K-Mart, on Donelson Pike, to the airport.

All who would like to assist, please come on out. If you don’t want to ride in the procession, meet us at the American Ticket counter where a separate lane should be established for Snow Ball Express.

I GUARANTEE you will sometime in the event have to get the sand out of your eyes!
