ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders to stand with the family of Navy Veteran Sidney R. Sheldon, 89, at his Graveside Service with a flag line.
Due to health concerns, there will be no indoor church service and, weather permitting, the PGR will provide an escort into the cemetery.
Our Hero, Veteran Sidney R. Sheldon, 89, faithfully served his country from 1952-1955. He completed basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois.
He was then stationed at the Kodiak Naval Operating Base in Alaska where he served as the Motor Pool Dispatcher in charge of 786 vehicles. The contingency of military in Kodiak at that time was in the event of a possible Russian attack on the mainland. Sid was later stationed at Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado Island, California.

Funeral Service: 1:00 PM – with military honors
Where this involves a graveside service only, the entire event will function a bit differently than normal. All funeral guests, including family, will line up outside the gates of the cemetery on 44th Street for a processional to his final resting place shortly before 1:00 pm.
Weather permitting, the PGR will lead the escort and then join the flag line for the graveside service.

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
