We received the following note of invitation to attend Funeral Services on Friday, April 23rd. The Service and staging times are listed below.
I write to say that my grandfather, Claude J. Salazar, passed away last Friday. He was surrounded by his older grandchildren, one of his sons and one of his daughters. We were talking about his service to our country, when he stirred a bit, and then quietly took his last breath. It is as if he knew we were talking about him and his service. He was always proud of our country. He served our country in WW II in the Army. He earned the Purple Heart and fought on the beaches of Okinawa. He has left behind, 5 grown children, 15 grandchildren, many great, great grandchildren and a few great, great, great grandchildren. His eldest, son, who is my father, served our country in the Vietnam War. He will be presented my grandfathers flag. I know it is late notice, but I was wondering if anything can be done for him? It would be a great honor to both him, myself and his next of kin, to have you present. His burial information is listed below. I have utmost respect for what the Patriot Guard and the people who volunteer for it, do. Please know that I completely understand if nothing can be done for him at this late notice. I appreciate any & all of your efforts for what you do for service men & women, and commend you for your time and generosity. It is people like you who truly make a difference in this world.
