ABOUT THE MISSION:

Shelton Doutherd spent a total of twenty two years; eight months and four days in the United States Army. During his time in service, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal; the Army Achievement Medal (w/2/OLC); The Army Good Conduct Medal (4th Award); the National Defense Service Medal (1 Bronze Star); the Southwest Asia Service Medal (w/2 Bronze Stars); the NCO Professional Development Ribbon; the Army Service Ribbon; the Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd Award); the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Expert Infantryman Badge; the Parachutist Badge; the Air Assault Badge; the Kuwait Liberation Medal; and the Expert Qualification Badge, M-16 Rife.
