Wight has requested that we stand tall and silent in a flag line of respect and honor prior to the services for their loved one. It will be our privilege and honor to do so. Hero Wight served in the U.S. Marine Corps 3rd Battalion\, 11th Marines\, 1st Marine Division in Vietnam. For his service he earned and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal\, Vietnam Service Medal w/1battle Star\, Vietnam Campaign Service Medal w/60 device and a Good Conduct Medal. He later served the citizens of St. Louis as a member of the SLMPD from which he retired in 2004. He is survived by his wife\, children\, their spouses and a long list of other family and friends. Please join me in standing tall\, silent and respectful in a flag line of honor for this American Warrior. Stand down Sir; your watch here has been completed. Your next duty station will be to patrol the streets of Heaven. We come to thank you and honor you for your service to our nation and city. Your service allows us the freedoms we enjoy today.
