Patriot Guard Riders,

This is the Final Itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders Mission to honor SHC Dale W. CRIM, U. S. Navy Retired of Newport News, VA. The Crim Family has graciously invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor and escort Dale to his eternal place of rest in Newport News, Virginia.

This mission is a GO; most Contact have been made and others finalized. This Mission Order is hereby executed.

Mission: Honor Flag Line and Honor Mission Escort from Memorial Service to Cemetery on Thursday, October 7, 2010.

Mission Concept: Flag Line at Funeral Home/Escort to Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, VA (LEO Escorted)

Memorial Services will be conducted at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 23601
Ride Captain: Mission Ride Captain for planning and coordination is Tim “Roadtrip” Fortune. Tim may designate an Honor Mission Co-Ride Captain to assist with actual Honor Escort, therefore please stay apprised of this Mission Order by enabling auto email (check box on mission thread). Tim may be reached at 757-719-8021 or by email at fortunedad@cox.net. Mission Co-Ride Captain and Tail Gunner to be assigned.

Weather: Sunny, with expected highs in the lower 70s. Dress appropriately for cool to warm weather conditions. Bring flag poles and 3’x5’ U.S. Flags; rigged for an Honor Mission and able to sustained highway speeds. Bring all the extra flags you’ve got.

Staging Site / Time – Thursday, 7 October, 2010 for Memorial Services). We will stage at 1310 – 1330 at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 23601.

MISSION Ride Protocol for Escort (October 6, 2010):

All bikes/cages will present a uniform appearance. Transit from staging to all Points will be conducted in a staggered formation at 2 second intervals and adhere to Hampton Roads
PGR Standing Orders (Rev 01/08).

Ride protocol is as Follows:
1. Bikes: Large (3’x5’) U.S. Flags rigged for Honor Escort
Small(er) U.S. Flags rigged for Honor Escort
No Flags on Honor Escort
2. Autos: Same as Flag/no Flag order as bikes (Will fall behind Family/NSWDG
Vehicles).

Please remember that our Mission is to show Respect and Honor this fallen Sailor and our Nations Heroes. Stand tall and proud as we salute them, their families and Shipmates for their Military Service, their scarifies and their loss, on behalf of the Patriot Guard Riders and this great nation.
