ABOUT THE MISSION:

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been invited to honor a revered member of the United States Military. The family of Shaun E. McLaren has invited Patriot Guard Riders to stand a flag line of honor and respect. It will be our honor to do so. We will then escort their loved one to his final resting place in the hallowed grounds of Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for his final military honors.  Hero McLaren served in the United States Army and Army Reserve from 1989 to 2014.  He retired at the rank of E7 and was a UH-60 Helicopter Repair Specialist.  SFC McLaren was awarded the Iraq Campaign Medal w/ 2 Campaign Stars, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal (7th Award), Army Achievement Medal (4th Award), Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal w/ Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal (2nd Award), Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3rd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th Award), USAF Training Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, Master Aviation Badge, and the Air Assault Badge.  Thank you, Mr. McLaren, from a grateful Nation. Your faithful dedication to serve the United States of America is deeply appreciated, and will never be forgotten.

Following the Service, we will escort our hero to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for a 12:30 slot.  COVID19 protocol will be enforced, to include social distancing and mask requirements…Weather forecast is sunny with a high of 78F. 20% chance of rain. Dress appropriately.  Cages are always welcome.  Remember to hydrate.
