Sharon Evonne Mitchell, Retired

Patriot Guard Riders will stand a flag line for US Army Veteran (Retired) Sharon Evonne Mitchell and accompany her to North Heights Cemetery.  VFW Honor Guard will perform Honors. Mrs. Mitchell served 30 years in the US Army before her retirement.

Family is requesting anyone attending Funeral Service wear a mask.
Briefing: 10:00 AM

Accompaniment from the church to the North Heights Cemetery, W. Okmulgee Street, Sapulpa.
Weather: Forecast high of 81 and sunny.
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

Sharon Evonne Mitchell Comment


    EOM: US Army retired GWoT Veteran Sharon Evonne Mitchell, Sapulpa, OK.
    On 10/12/2020, 20 PGR members arrived at the Calvary Baptist Church, 412 N 7th Street, Sapulpa, OK
    Flags had been staked and the Flag line prepared. A briefing was held to advise of the service order, accompaniment to the cemetery, and route where discussed by the PGR. Briefing was concluded with a moment of silence in honor of Gold, Silver and Blue Star Families. Prayer for the mission and those attending were included. The flag line was manned and arriving family and friends were assisted at the entrance.
    At the conclusion of the Church service a respect line was formed as Ms. Mitchell was moved from the Chapel to the Coach. The accompaniment to North Heights Cemetery was without incident. A respect line was formed at the Cemetery as the Hero was taken from the Coach to the bier.
    The Skiatook VFW performed Military Honors and the Flag was presented to the Hero’s Daughter. The PGR read and presented the plaque and letter of invocation to the Hero’s Mother and 2 Sisters.
    The service was concluded with a final salute to Sharon Evonne Mitchell, GWoT veteran.
    A big THANK YOU to all PGR that attended todays mission. Special thanks for the Flag support.
