The wife of Sgt Major Goodson had asked the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero by standing a flag line at the funeral followed by a procession and a second flag line at the cemetery.

Details Of Part 1:
The PGR will muster for a briefing and safety meeting prior to services. Riders will then stand a flag line in honor of this American hero and community leader. When services start, flags will be furled and bikes aligned for the procession.

Details Of Part 2:
When funeral services conclude, riders will be staged for the procession to the cemetery. Upon arrival, riders will stand a second flag line at the graveside in honor of SGM Goodson and family. When services have completed, flags will be furled, brief mission report, and riders will be dismissed.

Additional Information:
Sgt Major Goodson was made an honoree member of the Patriot Guard Riders in 2014, for his help as Mayor of Whitewright during the KIA mission for Christian Chandler, who was from this city. Mayor Goodson made sure that once the procession reached the city limits, that all or any outside disruptions to this funeral for Christian were totally avoided. Mayor
Goodson met the family and procession at the cemetery to honor Christian not only for being a vet, but also, for the entire city of Whitewright.
