We have been requested to stand for Sergeant Major Robert LaPrade age 69 US Army Vietnam veteran Thursday September 15.
There will be NO calling hours or escort with this mission, only grave site flag line on request of family & funeral director.

We will greet family & friends at the main gate and lead them to the pavilion and stand in honor for full military service then escort to grave site.
Mission narrative:
Sergeant Major Robert LaPrade was a 20 year Army veteran with two tours in Vietnam, 1968-69 & 1970-71 where he engaged in countless combat situations with the 4th Infantry Division. After Vietnam his service continued at the Seneca Army Depot where he retired after 20 years. He was an active member and past Commander of the American Legion post 463 in Ovid & VFW post 6433 in Waterloo, NY. Mr. LaPrade was instrumental in bringing the Vietnam Wall Memorial in Ovid during the walls tour of NY.
During his distinguished career, he received NUMEROUS awards and medals to include Army Service Ribbon, Over Seas Ribbon, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Good Conduct Vietnam Service Medal, Master Unit Commendation.
As with all of our missions, please display your American Flag in proper fashion fitting to honor this distinguished American War Hero. I will be leaving the Ontario area at 11:30 for those wishing to ride to the cemetery. Please contact me directly for details.
