The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested by the family of Michael C. Schoppert to respectfully stand flaglines and escort him to his final rest on Thursday, 17 September. He was extremely proud of his service to his country and retired after serving 20 years in the Army earning the rank of Sergeant First Class. He then went on to a career as a letter carrier for 21 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 40 and the VFW #6506. He is survived by his wife, 3 adult children, 8 grand children and 1 great-grandchild. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

This mission will consist of a flag line at the church during services and escort to the cemetery for a flagline at graveside.
Assemble at the church at 10:00am for a short briefing and post our flagline prior to arrival of the family. We will stand respectfully during the Catholic Mass. Following the service we will escort Mr Schobert to the cemetery.

Weather is forecasted to be 58/84 degs. with 0% chance of precipitation. Please dress accordingly and bring something to drink to stay hydrated. Also bring your 3×5 hand held flag for the flaglines. The escort may be at highway speeds. If you plan to use a large flag on your bike, be sure it is safe and securly mounted. All mountings will be inspected prior to departure and approval is at the discretion of the Ride Captain.
